Improvement Module
The improvement module controls the company's non-conformance or improvement process. Completely customizable interface to ensure relevant information is captured about each improvement request. All companints, improvments and non-conformances are recorded and controlled in an online manageable system.
Workflows and notifications are configured according to the customer requirements, therefore this module provides a comprehensive solution to product of service improvement requirements across every industry. Improvement stages are customizable, so you can continue to use any stage names currently in use in your company.
Improvement Management Online!
Mango's improvement module is flexible, simple to understand, and easy to setup. The improvement module is currently in use to ensure ISO 9000, 9001, and 13485 compliance across a wide range of industries. Mango provides your company with a log of all improvements, from hazard identification and correction, so faulty goods, customer complaints, and service improvements.
Improvements can be custom created to cover a range of requirements, some of which may include:
- Non Conforming Product of Process Recording, Monitoring, and Improvement.
- Bug Fixing.
- Staff Suggestion Register.
- Customer Complaint Register.
- Manufacturing Process Improvements.
- Hazard Identification and Elimination.
- Quality Improvement.
- Root Cause Analysis.
- Failure Reporting And Corrective Action System (FRACAS)
Improvement Creation
Once the system configurables are setup an improvement is created by logging onto Mango and selecting to create a new improvement. The following fields are then requested:
- Customer / Originator Details
- Name, address, phone, country, fax, email.
- Can select to send a copy of the improvement to the customers email address.
- Improvement Details
- Attachments - upload any type of file that is applicable to this improvement.
- Details - enter all details about the improvement required.
- Administrator
- Select the owner of this issue - chosen from drop down employee list.
- Create Improvement
- Improvement is assigned a running number.
- Notification is sent to owner's email address.
- Improvement Notification will be highlighted for action when user logs into the system.
Improvement Assignment
Once created the improvement is routed for the next stage of information recording and action. The administrator logs onto Mango where the improvement details and history are displayed. The administrator enters the following information, and asigns the improvement to an employee.
- Type of Improvement
- Selected from customizable drop down list.
- i.e. Personnel
- Code for improvement
- Selected from customizable drop down list.
- i.e. Training Issue
- Cost
- Assign an oppurtunity, or real cost to this non conformance / corrective action.
- Assign to Investigate:
- Choose employee to assign this improvement to.
- Signed off by:
- Choose employee to act as sign off to ensure corrective action is appropriate and implemented.
- Company Specific Details
- Assign a branch and department to this improvement.
- Accounting:
- Invoice Number, Email copy of improvment to accounts (select employee)
- Notification:
- Select affected employees to be notified of this improvement.
The improvement will then go to the Investigation stage (or, your own customized name). The improvement will be sent to the assignee via email and online, and a copy of the updated information to the person in charge of signing off the corrective action.
Improvement Investigation
The improvement is assigned to an employee who investigates the root cause and enters this information online to Mango. Documents and files can be uploaded to support the employees findings, or the information can be entered online. Costs, alerts, and details of the improvement can be updated at this time.
Once this information is entered the asignee moves the improvement to the "investigation complete" stage, where the employee in charge of sign off is notified that the corrective action has been implemented and is ready for review.
Close Off Stage
The employee in charge of signing off the corrective action is notified via email and online. After logging in to Mango the employee is asked whether the action is appropriate, and the details of the improvement are accurate. If so the user signs off the improvement and it is closed.
If the investigation is not thorough, or the corrective action is not good enough then the user can reject the improvement and return it to the Investigation phase along with his or her comments.
